The client is a North American pipeline company that was considering implementing a CMMS package or a full ERP system. However, the company was unsure how to choose the right software for them. The client also recently acquired another pipeline which used to have SAP as their ERP system.

Client's Challenge

The organization had complex requirements, many assets across the continent but a fairly small work force. Since many of the assets were linear in nature (pipelines), spatial representation of the assets and maintenance work was required.

• Document desired future state processes through facilitated sessions with various business stakeholders
• Document detailed system requirements
• Create vendor demonstration scripts
• Conduct vendor demos and evaluation
• Finalize selection recommendations for Steering Committee

Results

One software package was selected to replace current manual asset and maintenance management processes as well as serve as an ERP for the whole organization.
