Future state process mapping and system requirements definition for LMS

The client is an organization which oversees the licensing, training and continuing education of Real Estate Agents. The organization is looking to launch a new continuing education program and wants to make sure that future state internal processes are well defined and ready for implementation.

Client's Challenge

The client is looking to procure a new Learning Management System (LMS) and change up various continueing education processes but lacks internal expertise who can facilitate future state process discussions and streamline current areas of inefficiency. Furthermore, clearly defined business and technical requirements are needed for the RFP package and Project Charter.

StraNexus' Approach
The approach included:

  • Facilitating the development of process maps and user-based system requirements for integration with existing systems
  • Defining the Information Systems' (IS) work package that is required to build and test the new processes and systems, and
  • Documenting the scope of IS support requirements in the Project Charter and Project Plan (eg, timelines), as well as technical requirements outlined in an RFP.

Results

  • Documented streamlined future state processes, with alignment from various business and Information Systems stakeholders
  • Documented business and technical requirements for RFP document (to procure an LMS)
  • Drafted select sections of internal project charter as part of project management support services
